I’m a big believer that our country needs more candidates and elected officials who are intimately familiar with their communities and know what it’s like to create jobs. My good friend and guest this week, Jason Wright, nails both categories in a big way.
Jason’s business resume is too long to even try to cover. He’s managed hundreds of millions of dollars in real estate transactions and private equity deals. His involvement in the Tyler, TX community has made him a fixture there and helped elect him to the City Council there in 2012.
When Ted Cruz was elected to the US Senate, he asked Jason to be his East Texas Regional Director, where he was my counterpart. Subsequently, Jason served Senator Cruz in a statewide business-relations capacity before returning to private business and his beloved Tyler, TX.
Running for local office is an incredible way to impact your community and get your start in electoral politics. Jason is here to share his passion for local service, as well as some awesome tips on how to get elected.
